Hello everyone,

Need some advice from this amazing group of investor. I’m currently in college working on getting my associates in business administration and accounting. (Dual degree) I’m almost done and struggling with what I really want to do with my degree after graduation. Im planning on getting my real state license the soonest I’m done with school, but I’m not sure if I want to be a real state agent. I’m obsess with real state and have big plans to invest some more in the near future, that’s the reason why I’m getting my real state license. I’m not sure what type of job I want to get, all I know is that I want something where I can get more knowledge about real state investing. I would love to hear from the real state agents in this group, any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m 41 years old and just don’t know where to start with this new chapter in my life with starting a new career. I love numbers and anything the has to do with running a business, but my real passion is real state.

Hello @Maria Luna

First congrats on working hard on getting this chapter in your life started.  To be honest getting the highest paying W-2 possible will help you the most in getting your real estate career started.

At this point in your life you should have a good grasp on what your personal finances are and what your current situation is.  Some questions to ask yourself before starting to invest in real estate are:

1. how much liquid cash do you have

2. what is your credit score

3. Do you own property currently

4. Are you tied to the geographic are that you currently live in

5. Do you currently have a good paying W-2

Once you figure out where you stand, then you can come up with a plan to get to where you want to go.

For example: If you have a large stock pile of cash, an 800 credit score, can move anywhere in the US and can work anywhere.  The door is wide open and there are many ways to plan your real estate investment plan.

Figure out where you are and where you would like to be.  Having this information in hand will give us a better idea of helping you in your plan.

***First order of business would be go get the highest paying W-2 possible because it takes money to invest in real estate***

Good Luck!!!
