Need help from Senior Brokers out there. Team pay structure advice?

I am putting together a proposal regarding commission structure between myself and another agent in our brokerage. We are in multifamily and considering putting a partnership to paper. I am a "junior" broker...2 years in. He is 8 years into the business and does very well.

I have done fairly well in my first 2 years and have completed deals in excess of $2,500,000. I cold call, am pursuing my CCIM designation, and am pretty aggressive. So he sees a bit of upside bringing me in. I would have more consistent income coming in by joining up with him.

Anyone have experience putting together a pay scale i.e. first $100,000 in Broker fees split ??
$100,000-$200,000 in fees split ??

Get where I am going?

Not sure where to start?

Help greatly appreciated.
