Real Estate Agent Courses - Where Did You Take Your Classes?

Hi guys,

I've been wanting to get into real estate investing for a long time now. And, I've been toying with the idea of getting my real estate license in order to gain access to the MLS and also save up some money to put into my investments. My husband is in the military so we move a lot. I've become infatuated with the many different places we have lived and loved learning the new areas and the market in general.

I have a Master's degree in Accounting and have passed all four parts of the CPA Exam. I thoroughly enjoy running numbers and simulations and also love the investigative side of real estate investing i.e. looking at community plans, new developments etc. and also studying the new tax laws and how they impact real estate investments. I've all but convinced myself that real estate investing is my calling!

I live in California and would like to start taking the courses that are required to sit for the exam. What schools did you go to? Should you do it online or in person? I'm a little confused on where to begin looking. Any help is much appreciated :)
