Financial Advisor to Real Estate Agent/Investor? Should I switch

I’m currently a Financial Advisor and have been for last six years. Our business is very similar to real estate agents as it’s 100% commission. My last two years I’ve grossed over 6 figures (however there are a lot of back end expenses) and I’m looking to switch into Real Estate. I want to build a portfolio that can generate cash flow income and are valuable assets. My current broker does not allow for me to hold a RE license as they consider it a conflict of interest. If I’m going to grind the next 5-10 yrs and build something that can produce residual income should I make the switch now? I have enough money saved for my fixed income expenses for a year....
