Reciprocal license expired

Hello folks,

Has anyone received a reciprocal license through another state and was able to renew their license with the original license being expired? In other words:

Colorado- original license

Louisiana-reciprocal license.

Colorado one expired and I need to renew my Louisiana but the commission gave two different answers for me. 1. My reciprocal license is a full license now and I do not need the original if it expired. 2. I need to keep both active.

If I made it confusing, I apologize but if anyone can give clarity it would be appreciated. Thanks!
