Hello everyone, I passed my real estate pre-licensing class this week and am scheduled to take the Florida state exam next Thursday. I am confident that I will pass next Thursday, so I want to get started on finding a brokerage to hang my license. I am looking for any suggestions on which brokerage to join in Tampa, FL. If you are not familiar with Tampa, but have some ideas of what I should be looking for or other information, please let me know as well. Thank you for your time!

Hi David,

I suggest you go with a big name or a big brokerage in your area.  Could be Keller Williams Coldwell etc.  Make sure to find out what their training program is like.  Also, check to see who their top producers are in the office.  You want to get on the top producer's team and try to learn from them.  Don't worry about commission split at the moment. A high split is great but its pointless at this time.  You are brand new, you want training and support. The money will come down the road when you actually produce.

If you want to be a 6 figure agent be prepared to give up 90% of your weekends your first year.
