New Real Estate Agent in Small Town

Hi! I am in the process of getting my real estate license in Georgia. I live in a small town in South Georgia and it says that the average selling price of a home in my area is 168,000. Would it be better to move to a more affluent area like Atlanta where there are more expensive homes or am I overthinking making money in a small town doing real estate. Also, what are some good tips for new agents to get a head start?
