Real Estate License, useful for careers other then sales agent?

Hello!

Looking at trying to line up my day job with my real estate investing side work. It been suggested multiple times that I go ahead and get my license, but I hesitate at the idea of locking myself into a sales agent type position. What other careers within real estate do you know of that benefit from having your license?
