Bay area - Commissions?

Hey everyone! So I was traveling out to a few different areas and the radio ads for 1% listings were out of the world. We have Redfin doing that around Chicago-land, but I don't feel like it's as predominate here as it was out there. So for agents out that way, I'm super curious, what does your general fee look like out there?

And if it's 1%, do you do the same half type split for listing/selling co-op and what is an average brokerage split?

I'm wondering and scared that things start on the coast and move in to us, is this the wave of the future?
