senior/junior compensation plan

I have been in commercial real estate for about 10 months now... I have managed to carve a niche in multifamily ranging from duplex's up to multi-million dollar complexes, mainly less than 20 units though. The owner is considering implementing a team concept with another senior broker (usually works with the "big boys") who is a good/seasoned producer of 7 years. We would work as the multifamily (senior/junior broker) team. We are working on responsibilities and compensation plans. Does anyone have any advice on compensation splits, graduated scales, point system? or some way of weighing the responsbilities...Has anyone been involved in this type of compensation structure...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks...
