Breaking into Commercial office space brokerage
Hello, I've been in commercial property management for three years now. I started as a college intern at a prominent CRE firm in my area and quickly took over management of around 1million sqft of retail space while finishing my undergrad. Once graduated, I moved into managing office space for a developer out of Atlanta and I've gained a little bit of experience in leasing/development from that. I want to make the jump from my salaried job to commercial brokerage and focus on office space. I'm currently working on my RE license and have not started reaching out to brokerages, I want my RE license in hand before I do that. I would like to hear suggestions from the BP community on the best way to make this transition, how to get in the door with a brokerage, personal testimonies, general advice, etc.
Thanks!
