Advice for Finding Colorado Employing Broker - Unique Situation

I passed my RE exam earlier in the year and need some advice for finding an employing broker. I am not interested in working as a broker full-time, but rather need to work under a broker for 2 years until I can become an independent broker.

For some background, I am pretty familiar with real estate, as I have rental properties and have worked with a RE Private Equity firm for 3 years. I own part of a construction company, and I intend to work there full-time, and invest in rentals and commercial RE on the side. I dont intend to do many transactions in the next few years, other than helping friends, or buying/selling for myself.

I understand I might have a higher commission split, since I dont want to work full-time, but I dont want to pay any large monthly fees, or split on my personal purchases/sales, and I dont really need extensive training (I have BP!!).

Have any of you been in this situation, or know any companies that might be a good fit, especially in CO Springs or Denver? Is it worth speaking with smaller brokerages, since I wont be very active? Thanks!!
