listing brokerage fee Florida and California
I just had a real estate agent tell me that the standard listing fee in Florida is 6%. I've done a few deals in Florida and I've only seen 4% and I've never paid more than 4% in California. What gives? did I miss a course correction in the market where it's now standard to ask 6%? TIA.

It is what you want to pay & a listing agent is willing to accept. In my county, most listings do show 6% (4% to buyer!s agent, of course); further north, I've seen 5% (2.5% each). Would be very careful about weighing pros & cons of paying less:).
