Real Estate license in California for foreigner investor?

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any experience of getting their RE license in California as a foreign investor? I would like to get my license in order to gain access to the MLS independently to find good deals as soon as they hit the market.

I currently have a 5 year business visa as residency and actively run a small business but I am looking into investments on the side.

Does anyone who has a similar residency status as mine have any experience getting their license? Do you need to work or intern for a brokerage for a set amount of time before the license gives you access to the MLS?

Welcome here to BP. Wondering why you would go to the trouble of getting a licence to just access MLS? There are other ways to access that type of information and save you the trouble if that is all you want the licence for.
