What Skills are Real Estate companies looking for when hiring?

Hi all,

I am in the process of immigrating to Vancouver, Canada. The process could take up to 8 months before I become a legal resident. As a result, I can not legally work in the country. However, I am going to use this time to take some courses which I hope will serve me well once I am able to enter the job market.

My goal is to get a job in real estate, as I believe this is the best way to understand the property market. I intend to, eventually, use this knowledge to make calculated investments in property.

MY QUESTION IS:

What would an employer, in real estate, like to see from a job applicant?

I don't have much existing experience in property.

I plan on taking: Real estate license, Accounting course, Sales course and some others.

Look forward to your responses and thank you!
