Sales Meetings and Agent Discussions in Memphis, TN

Does your office have sales meetings?  What are some of the topics of discussion?

Our weekly sales meetings in Memphis, TN consist of several different sections each week.

This Week:  Sales, Listings, Marketing,  Open Discussion, and Book Review

Every agent begins discussing the new deals on their plate.  Price, location, rehab, etc. are explained and then......does anyone have a buyer.  How many closings expected during the month brings about some friendly inter-office competition between a few brokers, but keep in mind that we send deals to each other constantly.

This brings us to marketing which is a big deal if your in the real estate game.  If  your not getting your product out, no one is buying it.  I personally have started running radio ads on ESPN radio, other agents are doing massive direct mail campaigns, and Bigger Pockets is a great place to network, network, network.

The open discussion question today was, "how to we vet new buyers and contacts so we make sure to protect our time and our seller clients"?  The answer was earnest money and references.  If a buyer is not willing to put some earnest money in the game, then maybe they aren't that serious.  Secondly, there is nothing wrong with asking for references.  If the buyer is not willing give references to vouch for their character, it might be time to part ways.

I would love to hear about other agents and brokers sales meetings items that are discussed.

Thanks,
