Hello,

I am new to the forum. I live in Michigan in the Metro Detroit area and I am right now in the process of getting my real estate license. I am trying to figure out how to choose a broker that will best be a fit for me as a new sales agent trying to get exposure. What type of questions should I asked the broker when deciding to work out of there office? Also, how do I go about promoting myself so that I will be able to build a client base? Should I ask other agents in the office I'm in if I can show a listing for one of the other agents to get exposure? Would this be a good 1st step?

@Lavetta Gray

If you're good at socializing then something like an open house can be helpful. You've got to be able to think quickly though. For picking a brokerage it all depends on what your goals are and how independent you are. There a quite a few threads about it here if you look around a little. As for some other methods I just wrote a blog post that might be a little helpful. BLOG

Good luck with it!
