My own Agency, in association with a major Real Estate firm?

I started my company to invest in Real Estate, but decided to get my North Carolina RE License to learn more about RE, to make property selection easier and to lower my acquisition / selling costs. But now that I have the license, I'm interested in actually being an agent...

My long-term goal would be to have my own RE Agency. But I'm curious if it is possible to sign on with a major firm under my company (instead of, or in addition to my personal) name so that I am building my own company brand from day one - before eventually going solo at some point in the future once I qualify for a firm license?
