Real Estate Agent Niche

Hello to all who reply. I am a new Real Estate Agent waiting for my license. In the mean time I am looking into finding a niche and came across investment properties as the one I am interested in. Would it be wise to start marketing towards investors straight out the gate or build up to it? Being a typical agent doesn't interest me much.
