Kentucky & Ohio License Reciprocity
I live in Northern Kentucky, just across the border from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I am strongly considering becoming a licensed agent for investing purposes. I would prefer to be licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio since I will likely be purchasing properties in both states. From my research, it looks like Kentucky considers Ohio a reciprocal state, but Ohio does not consider Kentucky a reciprocal state. So if I become licensed in Kentucky, I have to pay for another pre-licensing course and take the full national and state exam again. But if I first get licensed in Ohio, then to get a Kentucky license all I need to do is take the Kentucky state law portion of the exam. Has anyone else looked into this and can confirm? Is it possible to get an Ohio license first if my residence is in Kentucky?
Thanks.
