I need to vent

Hello everyone,

My first offer wasn't accepted. It wasn't rejected. It wasn't countered. This property has been on the market since June.  I drove 26 available properties in the area, I analysed 3, I made an offer on 1.  The listing agent told my agent (the following day) that another buyer just accepted a counter, Missed it by that much. Then my agent goes into selling mode showing me a bunch of his overpriced listings that I had already passed on.  24 hours later (48 after my offer), the property I offered on is still listed, rubbing my face in it.

What happened?

1. The listing agent used my offer to pressure another buyer.

2. The listing agent is keeping this one in his pocket for his buddy flipper waiting on funds.

3. My agent didn't turn in my offer to sell me one of his properties.

4. I'm upset, disappointed, want to hide and think everybody is out to rip me off.

Okay, I needed someone to vent to. I've only made one other offer on a property. It was the home I'm still living in, and it was accepted without a whimper. This was my first offer on an investment property. It wasn't supposed to be emotional. Only business, right? Was your first as emotional? If I continue in this way I'm doomed. How do I keep it together?
