Starting career in real estate

Starting a career in the real estate agency, I’m looking to stumble upon new opportunities to learn and open an ear to some of the well established agents out there.

Texas is a great state to hang up your license and with property values increasing and rates on the edge of a breaking point.  The market is going to be a lucrative business if you plan to join the right team and use this forum as a Networking tool.

What's your plan as a new agent? Did you go with a small brokerage, big box, or cloud? This can affect how you scale up your business and training. What do you want to get out of being an agent? Are you trying to get into investing through that or are you looking forward to helping renters and buyers as you start?

 I want a head start in my career with mentors and other agents who’d be willing to accept an apprentice under their wing. I start school at Collin College in the fall for real estate, so I’m looking for an on hand experience while I complete my scheduled courses.

You definitely want to look for a real estate team that has great training. The brokerage is less relevant because you want people to learn from. A team will do that more than a brokerage in today's real estate world.

A few questions for you

1. Will this be your full time job? if not I would highly suggest joining some kind of team where they can "hold your hand" and so you can get an idea of how to property do real estate 

2. Do you have any prior knowledge of RE? if not consider joining a brokerage that has sufficient training for you. Just google "best brokerages for training"
