Agent vs. Realtor vs. Sales Person

I have a few newbie questions. I am looking to take my state exam to get my real estate license in CA. Once I pass the exam, I will be considered a Real Estate agent (and a salesperson) From what I understand, getting your RE state license does not qualify you in being a Realtor.

When I pass my state exam to get my license, will I be able to sell houses for a commission on the MLS or do I need to be a Realtor in order to do that?
