 great advice from @Hamp Lee III and @Bruce Lynn here. I followed both paths. Started at a small mom/pop broker which was great for the beginning but I needed a new pair of shoes - borrowing Hamp's analogy!
I then went to KW and had a great experience.

One question I'd ask a prospective broker is -  how much (if any) commission would I be paying the brokerage for buying/selling your own properties.
