New agent advice
Very new to real estate sales (and a year in to Alaska) but used to do residential home inspections. Before that I was a builders assistant and property manager (small operation).
I’m questioning if I may have jumped in too soon before considering the time, money and sacrifices this would take…
I have a 2 year old son I’m currently home with, childcare is insane and frankly I don’t want him in daycare full time. Is it possible to enjoy as much time with my son and do this gig part time? Either way I’m feeling like one of them isn’t getting the effort it deserves.
If this isn’t the right route for now, what other options might I have? Many thanks in advance!

I just made a career transition from healthcare to realtor. I'm still working 20 hours a week to help fund the transition but I'm expecting a full time transition in a year. It is a lot of work but I'm hoping for it to pay off in the future. I don't have the experience but I think doing this part time is really difficult. I think it would be hard to make a living off of that.
Maybe a few things for your to think about is how you are managing your time. I read a book called 168 hours. It was eye opening to me because it helped me realize how much "dead space/time" there was during my week. I always considered myself productive but after reading this book, I realized I had more time than I thought, I just had to use it correctly. Another book that might be helpful is Miracle Morning. I think walking up early is important as it allows me my alone and quiet time to get things done and prepare for the day.
Not really answering your question but I hope it helps in some way :)
Also in the southcentral market, mostly Anchorage, so feel free to reach out if you every want to chat!
