Who to Hang my License with? NEED ADVICE!!
Hello! I am new to BP but have read a couple of the books and listened to some podcasts and it seems like this is a good place for me to start.
My hope is that this summer I can get my SC RE license taking online courses while getting some hands on experience a few days a week with a local agent/brokerage. I want to be sure I spend time at a brokerage that has quality training for new agents. I have been doing as much research as I can online but am struggling to find a specific brokerage that seems best for me. My main reason for getting into Real Estate is that I love helping others achieve their goals. I am currently coaching college athletes but want to change paths while having a similar approach. I have a servant heart and want to be at a place that holds those same values.
If you have any ideas PLEASE let me know!
Thanks so much!!
Tim

Hello @Tim Miller. My advice would be worry less about the brokerage name and more about finding a broker or someone who is already a licensed Realtor you can connect with. When you are new and learning it is so important to have that mentor to ask questions to and someone who will answer your call. I am part-owner of a brokerage here in Florida and I find that too many brokerages you sign up they give you the standard online training and then hang you out to dry. Also think about office environment and if they have other agents around you can learn from. You would be surprised when you are new how much you can learn from just being in an office and talking to agents who are more experienced. Bottom line less about the brokerage name and more about who is at the brokerage and what connections you can make there.
