Advice on brokering a deal between two agents

Simeon Rivas
Posted

Hi everyone,

I have an opportunity to connect two agents. One has a few large off market deals, and the other has a potential client who is ready to buy a few million. I want a referral fee for putting together the transaction. Can I get any advice on how to do this where I can avoid being worked out of the deal? I want to make sure that this is fair for me and everyone else. I am newer as a realtor, but I have lots of experience investing be it stock or real estate.

Thank you!

Hey Simeon,

The first thing that comes to mind is maybe seeing if you're able to negotiate doing an assignable option on the off market deals, and then approaching the other agent with them.

Have you checked with your brokerage firm if their referral agreement form (most brokerage firms have their own form) works in a case like this
