Recommended Phones - iPhone, Andriod, etc.

I passed my license exam recently and I'm interviewing firms this week and next. I also own a basic phone and need to upgrade.

What are your experiences, thoughts and recommendations for a smartphone?

pros/cons

service contract thoughts, etc.

I plan to focus on listings. I will be a full time RE Agent. If an investor needs help and approaches me, I will help them and work with them. So, I'd like the phone to work for both of these aspects of the business, and anything I haven't thought of the you may know about.

Thanks for your time and help.

Stephanie,

When starting out, keep all your expenses basic. When you get closed transactions you can spend more money because you will have a better grasp on just what you need to succeed. I've been in the business for 4 years. I use a basic android smartphone from Walmart that costs me $45/month for data. I think you can find cheaper data plans out there. I think when I've had this phone for a year, I will get a data plan for my ipad, then get a non-smartphone. I like the philosophy of the company I work with - hold all your expenses accountable for making you money. If the expense doesn't, then get rid of it.

Having said that, I have heard many agents that love their Samsung Galaxys. They use them more like computers than phones.
