Property values Incorporated versus Unincorporated

Posted

Recently I was approached at the grocery store in Snellville Georgia and asked to sign a petition to request that the area in which I reside become incorporated. Currently, I live in an area of Snellville GA called Centerville which is not incorporated into the rest of the City. I was told that by incorporating the area that my property value would increase by around 15%. I tried doing some research that would support such an assessment but have not been able to find anything. Does anyone know if this is true or would know someone who would know?
