Dropping out of school

Hey guys I’m 26 and I’ve thought about dropping out of community college, I’m set to start my upper division courses at university next year. I’m just not happy doing school. I have a W2 job already in the psychology field and I’m not really confident that getting a psychology bachelors is going to push me further, even if it a masters. I realize that working full time and going to school full time, I won’t have much time to focus on investing. I’m planning to keep my job and get my real estate license as a side hustle to start out , as I’m very green and don’t know much about real estate. Hoping I could get some feedback, any would be appreciated, thanks.

@Roman Galindo Starting out due to an initial poor college choice I transferred to my hometown university. It was a large school, 40,000 students at the time. I liked it and did well, about a 3.95GPA. I foolishly felt peer pressure that this second college wasn’t good enough and transferred to a “hoity toity” private Eastern University that 25 years ago cost almost $50,000 a year. My GPA dropped during my last 2 years to about a 2.8 as I didn’t do well in the required classes. I ended up with an Economics degree that I couldn’t go any further with because my GPA was too low to get into business school.

I never used one class of the education I got from the third university but I have used many times over the Spanish I took at the state university as well as the real estate courses I took there.

If your passion is telling you not to continue your education at this point in time I would recommend stopping. You can always go back. Our lives always shift due to the decisions we make, and mine was forever shaped by moving back East.

However, the school was a complete waste of time. Today I am in social work and most of my coworkers either have GEDs or high school diplomas. My $150,000 education is wasted on this job.
