Direct Mailers for newer real estate agents

Stephan Bennett
Posted

Does anyone have recommendations on using direct mailers?

How often to send them?

What areas to target?

Should there be a mixture of trying to attract buyers/sellers?

I’ve been comparing companies and vistaprint seems to be the best, price wise.

Welcome to the BP forum @Stephan Bennett!

I'd recommend confirming the owner lives at the property you're mailing to. This will save you from throwing away $ by mailing to absentee-owned properties.

Some of the most successful agents in my market send about 15-20 pieces of mail each year. This is most effective if you are looking to mail to these folks for the foreseeable future. Cold-calling and door-knocking the same areas helps as well. At the very least, you should be sending 1 piece/month.

The majority of mailers target sellers but it wont hurt to add a line or 2 on your marketing material about helping homebuyers.

We used vistaprint for jobs of 200+. For more concentrated mail lists (i.e. past clients, personal circle) we like mailbox power (formerly 'banner season').

All the best to you on your RE journey!

Abel
