The Kind of Choices I LOVE To Have!
Hello everyone!
My name is David. I been on BP for I would say around 1-3 months. I havent had much time to post here since I've been getting ready with my REI business.
Ive decided to being with wholesaling. Last night I had a few minutes to listen to a podcast on bp. The podcast I decided to choose was "How to Close 27 Deals in Your First Year While Working Full Time with Sam Craven"
I only got upto 15 mins of the podcast and will listen to the rest but hearing how at first he was doing wholesaling and on the first deal had the established Investor walk him though on the process. A light bulb just went off on my head.
So thats what I decided to do. I just came back from my local REIC and found two wholesalers/flippers that would be willing to walk me through the process if I can find them a deal.
This is where I would like some help with. I don't know which Investor I should choose to learn from. Does anyone have any advice on how to screen them?
The way I see this is, it will benefit the both of us. They get another deal and I learn plus get a small commission.
A.) The first investor recently moved from Georgia I believe where he said he currently has 12 rental properties and since moving in town will begin here locally. From what I can tell he currently has two other assistants who will be learning too before beginning there own REI business.
B.)Has been doing REI for +7 months. He mentioned to me that he went out this morning and had gotten 4 properties due to a mother passing and the children not wanting the properties. He will be making an offer this week.
I feel like I answered my own question. =)
I plan on asking:
-How long they have been doing REI?
-How many deals in the past 12 months? 24 months?
Any other questions you would suggest I ask.
I plan on also speaking with Local RE Broker (35 years) if he knows of any Investors who have a good amount of experience under there belt.
P.S. Just an update on my business.
-Ive already made a business plan.
-Ive completed my marketing strategy outline (Passive & Proactive)
-I'm completing my website
-This week will be getting an LLC
-I'll be getting some business cards with a picture of myself done by a studio
(This picture I'll upload as my avatar on BP. I know its a little late.) =)
P.S.S.
-Also I created a new topic under wholesaling.I found an app that may be very useful to other wholesalers that do bandit-signs. (Its legal where I live but they must meet specific requirements.)
Thank You Any Input will Be Great!
