Any tips for Craigslist house hunting?

So the MLS in Dallas and surrounding area has very few to no real deals (following the 70-80% ARV rule) for finding homes. Being a new investor word of mouth does seem to be a real option for finding deals. I am trying to explore Craigslist as a viable option to find deals on SFR or small MFR and was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to use Craigslist more effectively?

On a sort of separate topic does anyone know of any reliable wholesalers in the DFW area?

We bought some great deals of Craigslist.

Have you tried networking with a few bird dogs and telling them your criteria. This is how we buy locate most of our property.
