VT House hack new investor
Hello, I am a new investor and currently live in Winooski, VT. My boyfriend and I are looking for a multi unit property in Chittenden County (close to our W2 jobs) that we can house-hack to offset the mortgage. I am looking for a lender that requires 3–10% down, and only requires owner occupancy for 1 year. Is it normal for banks to lend to us based on just our W2 incomes? Or should they be taking the offset from other units in the home into consideration?
