Should I use a mortgage broker?
Hello I am a newbie to real estate investing. I am looking to purchase multi unit properties, 5+. I am looking at my potential first property, a 6 unit, right now. I realtor sent me the lead and wants to wait to show me the property until I have financing established. He referred me to his commercial broker. Is this typical? Should I go through a mortgage broker?
My thoughts are that I should speak with a few banks in the area to find to see what lending options they have available first. Any advice is welcome.
