Do RE meetups really exist?

I am new to real estate investing and listening to all the podcasts, reading books, trying to learn what I need to do. One thing that keeps coming up is real estate meetups. A quick search on the BP forums yielded zero results for meetups within 50 miles of me (13790) and only results over a year old anywhere within a two hour drive. I admit that I might just not know what I'm doing, but do people still meetup in 2021?

Hello @Andrew Kimbrell,

I'd recommend also checking out Facebook events, eventbrite.com and meetup.com for local events.

If you still have no luck finding meetups in your area, this could be a great thing and a sign that you should start one yourself.

Network with other local BP members and begin your own monthly meetup. Local lenders, attorneys, title companies, property inspectors, contractors etc. should be more than willing to help spread the word, attend and speak. You can add value to local investor-friendly vendors, give investors a space to congregate and give yourself access to best local investor network.
