Teach a man to fish, feed him for a life time...
Hello everyone reading this!
First off, this may be a long post, so thank you for bearing with me...
Some background on me, I am a highly ambitious 19 year old, who wants to pursue the journey of financial freedom. I had an amazing job opportunity within the apartment industry in Atlanta with amazing growth opportunities, and jumped on it. I have been researching and trying to learn as much as I can about REI since my Junior year of High School. Even though I was surrounded by amazing teachers, had a great and supportive family, but I didn't really know anyone in this REI world. Lots of push back and passive-aggressive remarks when I talk about what I want to pursue..
Long story short, I don't want to continue waiting on when to start, but I am not able to qualify for much. Now, I am attending my first REI meet-up tomorrow (9/19) here in Atlanta, which I'm super excited to attend! Any advice on how I should approach people and present myself with a sense of trust? How do I get experienced investors to look past my situation and have the trust in me to take control of their hard earned money, especially as a 'youngster' in this world/industry?
I will note, I'm not asking for any hand outs but I am willing to put in the effort and grind it out, if it means I can achieve my goals in the long run.
I appreciate you all for reading, I wish your family well in these odd times,
Any advice helps,
Cheers,
Jacob A.

A journey of a 1000 miles begins with the first step. With that being said, the only place that success comes before work is in the dictionary. Keep learning, growing, and working at your goals and you will see that some of them begin to materialize. It’s not an overnight success you have to work at it a long time.
Congratulations on your ambitions.
