FHA Loans and Travel Work

Andrew Kamisato
Posted

What are your thoughts on using FHA Loans while doing travel work? I am looking at accepting a position that will have me moving locations once every 6 months to 5 years. I know that FHA loans require low down payments, and require the property to be your personal residence. I also know you are only allowed 1 FHA unless you meet certain criteria, such as having employment somewhere outside of reasonable commute times. Assuming I do my job to make sure everything would cash flow, and finding a good property manager for when I pick up and move across the country, am I missing any major pitfalls here?
