Hi BP,

I want to figure out exactly what I want to purchase and save for, but first I want to decide where I should purchase my first property. Is there a trusted way to find out the best areas to invest in right now?

Thank you!

We will generally look for population growth, job growth, industrial diversity, rising rents, and falling vacancies to get started. There isn't one good data source for all of those, you have to look around and compile a variety of sources from Federal, State, and Local Government sources, mainly.

Then, once you pick a market, study it like crazy. Get to know it as well as if you'd lived there.
