New to REI - looking to connect in NJ/NY area

Hi BP community - My wife and I are just starting with REI. I'm a former teacher now project manager and my wife works in tech. We are currently based in Long Island City, NY (Queens) but looking to start with a multifamily purchase and house hack/ fix and flip in Hunterdon County (where my wife is from) or Somerset Co (NJ). Also currently open to these Counties in NY: Westchester, Rockland and Nassau. We would love to connect with others in these areas to learn more about how you got started, how you created your team, any advice you have, etc.
