Short Term Rentals in Southern VT

Hi all!

I've been interested in real estate investment for several years, finally now making the plunge. The first thing I'm exploring are short-term rentals. I hope to try out different markets, but the first area of interest is the Southern Vermont ski areas, mainly because I'm familiar with them and already own a property there. I'm finding properties of interest are under contract before I even know about them! Is this just par for the course, or is there some trick I don't know about?

Happy to hear from anyone that has advice or wishes to connect. I'm looking to grow my network and learn from the experts on this forum. Thanks for reading!
