REIA Seminar - worth attending?
Hey guys,
I'm in the learning before investing stage and am thinking about attending this Real Estate 101 seminar this weekend. Could some of you seasoned investors out there take a look and see if you think it would be valuable? Maybe even someone in the Atlanta REIA? The topics look interesting, but its $100 so i thought I would get an opinion before jumping on it.

Thanks!
Josh

@Joshua King , I think this depends on your current knowledge of Real Estate right now.
I had already purchased two properties before I really dug in and started learning. I paid $300 for Robert Kiyosaki 3 day seminar. Now obviously he didn't do the seminar himself but it was definitely informative.
Sure they tried to upsell. But anyone who is new can learn from these small seminars. In fact many times seasoned investors go to try and learn some new techniques.
On another note. People pay for school right? They go to school for years and years and learn some of the same things over and over and you don't hear people complain about the fees...
But yet when a Real Estate investor charges to teach you, which is school, it now becomes a scam??? Not that I have paid or charged for this type of training, but I have an open mind. I myself was better suited to take the $15K and buy a property and jump all in. But many people can benefit from the training.
In any case. Look at your knowledge and what you know. Do you want to learn more? If so, spend the $100 and check it out. Besides, if you get a receipt you can write it off on your taxes as an educational expense.
