First Rental, Do I need an LLC?

I'm in the process of buying a second home and I am going to rent out the first. I've had several people recommend I transfer title to an LLC through LegalZoom. I'm in Texas, and the filing fee is $301, so after all other "packages" offered on LegalZoom that I'm not sure I need or not - the price is getting pretty high.

Do I need an LLC? And what "packages" offered by LegalZoom are most important? Thanks for any input!
