BRRRR and Wholesaling through an LLC
Hello!
My name is Tyler and I am a 24 year old future investor getting ready to start making my first deals. This is my first post on the forum, but I have been lurking for a while now and wanted to join the conversation.
I would like to form an LLC to invest in real estate for two reasons: liability and partnership. I am working with my father in the venture and therefore we think it is best to conduct our business through a separate entity. We primarily will be focusing on wholesaling of distressed property and the BRRRR method of investing. My questions are as follows:
1. Can I purchase real estate across the nation using the LLC or only within the state it was formed?
2. I do not have a realtors license - will I run into legal issues conducting wholesaling through the LLC as a business instead of independently even with the right contingencies?
3. Will I need to buy any liability insurance for my LLC if I am only wholesaling low volume at first?
4. Is there any books/podcasts/videos you recommend?
I look forward to hearing back from you all and being a part of this community!
