States that allow self closing

Terence Stamp
Posted

I am trying to research which states allow a self close. The specific niche I am investigating is vacant land. I came across two websites which tackle the topic, but they provide more detail than perhaps is necessary. The two websites are:

https://retipster.com/real-est...

https://sandygadow.com/state-b...

I can’t help but think that there must be a simple definitive list, but perhaps there isn’t. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and by the way, I am happy to be here amongst you folks with your fountains of knowledge that is free of nonsense.

This is actually how I got my start 32+ years ago.  I would "buy" or have given to me lots an the west side of Lake Travis in Austin for $0-25 and turn around and sell them for $500 via the Thrifty Nickel or Greensheet(No internet back then) after I left the military and was attending the University of Texas.  They would give me $500 and I would provide a deed via my word processer.  There was no margin for an actual closing.  Keep in mind tuition was $700-800 per semester and my house payment was a whopping $350.  Good times
