Hello BiggerPockets Family, 

Hope you guys are doing great? I am not only new in Houston Texas, i am new in the US, from United Kingdom.

Have some equity, looking to start out in BRRR, then transiting to SFH and MFH.

How does one protect itself when going into JV, what are the red flags, are there standard profit sharing.

Do you think doing JV with someone is the best way to learn on the job?

Are there meetups in Houston?
