Getting Started in Real Estate at a Young Age
Hi, I’m 18 and just graduated from high school and looking at a career in real estate. Ultimately, I’d like to own rental properties of my own that i can have as assets bringing me monthly cash flow, so to start out, i thought of studying for my license, getting the license, looking for a brokerage to start working at to gain the experience. Does this seem like a good idea? I have done my research and know that working for a brokerage is commission based work that requires some upfront costs and doesn’t offer benefits. I understand my being young might not be an asset for this field, but i have confidence that i would do fine, as i have worked in trades since 13 (in moderation, of course, at that age) and always dealt with customers often, and professionally.
I’d appreciate any input, thanks y’all
Jake
