Just starting out flipping and need advice

Wendy Deters
Posted

My husband and I have been considering starting a business and living off house flipping for years. We recently moved to San Antonio, TX and still work our normal jobs. My company is at a pass and most likely going to let me go due to the relocation during COVID and no longer allowing remote work, it will be 26 years with them. But I am ready to move on and am just stuck on where to start, help? I have a hefty retirement and my husband keeps telling me we need to start a C Corp in order to do the ROBS to start. Where do you all get funds to do your investing? What about real estate fees?

Please realize that this is NOT a get rich quick thing. We just happen to be in a great market and the last 7 or 8 years have been on the rise. Not everyone makes money flipping. Some dont even make money if they do rentals inefficiently. As with starting ANY new business, you need plenty of education, general business knowledge and a strong network.

You have the network here in San Antonio. Lots of meetings. Even one tonight(my profile has all the info). Get out and meet some people.
