Starting out in a High cost of living neighbourhood

Hi everyone!

This is my first post here! My name is Mateo, and I love the idea of real estate investing. The only problem is I live in the 3rd most expensive city in Canada. A possible avenue into the market would be through condos, as it has a lower barrier to entry than single-family houses do in this neighborhood. but I am unsure of how well they cash flow. Has anyone else had success starting out with investing in condos for cash flow?

Thanks!
