Teacher’s First Property

Hi. I am a teacher in Louisiana looking at getting my first rental property. Would it be a mistake to buy one in the school district I teach in? -other than it being awkward to possibly rent to a student I teach.  Could there be ethics issues collecting rent or the possibility of having to evict parents of a student at my school?
